Entering 3D Equations

There are two kinds of 3D equations GraphCalc can graph: Polar and Euclidean. You can graph up to 6 of either type of equation at the same time. The current equation type is determined by the current graphing mode located at the top of the graph options dialog box.

  • Euclidean functions are entered in terms of x and y. A nice euclidean example might be sin(x*y)

  • Polar functions are entered in terms of r and t (which is theta). A nice polar example might be cos(r*t).

To enter an equation, first click the radio button of euclidean or polar, then click the checkbox of the equation you'd like to display. Then enter your equation and click ok.
